    Description

    Formed in 1955 the Pathet Lao (Lao People's Party) a communist revolutionary who fought the Democratic Laos Gorvernment until the Paris Peace Accords and the 'Vientiane Treaty' in 1973.
    This medal awarded to party members and combatants on what was effectively the Victory of the Viet Cong and Khmer Rouge aligned Pathet Lao over the Democratic and Monarchistic Government and the cease fire agreement, the 'Vientiane Treaty'.
    The Pathet Lao, had also fought against the French in the French Indochina War. The Pathet Lao took full control of the Laos Government in 1975.
