I've worked with him previously for a couple years when he came to my town. We talk about music, horses, trucks and belts. His belt was made when he was 25. Wears the same buckle (Cinch ring) and the leather was replaced when he was 35.
This is a Custom Made Western Cinch belt, a take off of the Cinch on a Western Saddle.

The belt is crafted with 1 1/2 inch wide 8/9 ounce Hermann Oak leather. Hermann Oak tannery started in 1881 and has been tanning the same way ever since. The best leather possible that retains the full grain genuine leather-look and with minimum stretch or distortion. And because it is veg-tanned, this leather edges far better than other tannages. I spend a lot of time burnishing both edge and surface with a small deer antler.
The 2 1/2 inch in diameter Cinch ring acts as the buckle. Run it thru and back thru the keeper. Can adjust to a 40 pant size down to a huge dog collar. Above 40 jeans size please send me a message for availability of a larger belt.
Brown Oil dye just like Billy Joe's. ( first picture doesn't represent the color very well see others) These are oil dyes and vary in shades due to the leather itself. Nickle plated Chicago Screws keeps your Cinch ring secure. Belt relies on the tight-fitting keeper. Or wear it loose. If you would like to see how it looks on someone, google Billy Joe Shaver.
